Building with wood from charcuterie to paddleboards

a maple charcuterie loaded with tasty pleasures!
Hand built paddle and board, kid and dog.

05/25/22 - Jeff Bach here. I started Big Littlewood. Wood is a lifelong pursuit for me. Back in the day, I started a project - building a paddleboard. I bought a set of plans and that started me down the path leading to Big Littlewood. Starting with that paddleboard, I grew into custom paddles and then paddle kits. Getting hungry every once in awhile led to the kitchen, and I realized that wood played well with food.
Fast forward to now and - the biggest pieces of wood are still water centric, while the little pieces - charcuterie boards, end grain cutting boards, coasters, trays, and trivets are food centric.

- Boards and wood. All shapes and sizes and species! Lots of pictures to post and text to change and add, as you can see. An act of multitasking, which I don't like because it does not work (despite my wife's insistence). In this case though, I have more time than money, as well as enough skills not to have to shop this website out to a developer, while I also design, prep, and build the pieces I eventually aim to sell on this site. I also have some great wood pieces in shapes ranging from avocado charcuterie to mango double bend paddles. Interesting wood, fun to source and a joy to work into their finished shapes.
