tree trunks are round for the most part. That means that every rough piece I salvage will have two pieces with round bottoms. Usually with the bark left on the wood. Think of thes pieces as the top and bottom, or the first and last flitch.

I like these pieces, however their use is not always obvious. That is where you, dear viewer, come into the picture. I have these pieces and maybe you have the project. I can ship the raw piece to you for your own project work, or you can commission me to finish off one of these pieces.

My first thought is some sort of a candle base. Either side up would work with a row of candles sitting in holes drilled into the surface of the wood.
